Looking forward to another Summer of service with CCDN – CONGO Christian Community Development Network
Our prayer for this coming Summer is to join a team of like-minded Christians interested in various areas of human development activities and locally accessible technology. CCDN's leadership in the Democratic republic of the Congo is devoted to uphold the values of the radical Christian faith, Christlike discipleship and servant leadership. We believe in networking together with other Christians in the world in order to create learning opportunities in communities where CCDN has set up a number of centers for Development. In so doing, we will generate possibilities of holistic growth for many; and build up the network for friendship and understanding.
CCDN's work include but not limited to Christian leadership development, Agriculture and food security, Education and Health. Since the year 2008 a number of projects have been conducted both in the capital city of Kinshasa and the rural & urban areas in the region west of the capital city. Rural schools renovation programs and mass education had also been at the forefront of CCDN's endeavor before covid-19.
Our focus this Summer is to lead a joint session of training for CCDN's local church partners in Discipleship and Economic empowerment with the assistance of both ministries, 5000+ and Breath of Life International. These back to back sessions are intended to serve individuals and church organizations in learning how to take a holistic approach in order to meet spiritual and economic needs in their communities..
Our current challenge is to gather enough funds to make the Summer session as much successful as possible. The success of our first training program in these areas would give a healthy launch of a region-wide discipleship based economic empowerment endeavor and much more.
